The First Meeting of Signatories to the CMS Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation, Restoration and Sustainable Use of the Saiga Antelope
The CMS Secretariat is very pleased to announce that the Government of Kazakhstan has very graciously offered to host the First Meeting of Signatories to the CMS Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation, Restoration and Sustainable Use of the Saiga Antelope (Saiga tatarica tatarica). The meeting, which will be co-sponsored by CMS and CITES, will take place 24-26 September 2006 in Almaty. A one-day Technical Workshop is tentatively scheduled for 23 September 2006.
